Hi guys, I found this stove a few days ago at an secondhand shop. It was so cheap I couldn't resist. I think it's a meva stove (the burner is marked) and the shape off the tank is similar to the one's in the gallery. But there are no other markings to be found. Is there a reason that this one is unmarked? And is this common?
Hi @Stef it is good that you didn’t pay too much of this possible Meva stove. The Meva stoves of this type were lightly built with thinner gauge brass tanks, which are unfortunately susceptible to stress corrosion cracking. I do not know why your tank is not marked with the makers name etc. Here is a link to a Meva brochure. You can check the dimensions and weight of your stove against the published specifications to see if There is a match : https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/meva-czech-stove-pamphlet.10380/ Best Regards, Kerophile.
The stove didn't feel like high quality when I found it. But it's pretty scary that they can crack from stress. I won't be using this on that's for sure.
