It is very clean and I would say hardly used the only thing missing was the pump and cap that goes with it . I got one from Korea and was told they are well made, so today II filled the tank with kerosene and put the alcohol in the cap under the burner I pumped the tank 10 times . I lite the alcohol it burned very well then I turned the key counter clockwise but nothing happened I could not even here any air noise from the burner . I am new to these stoves so any help would be appreciated

May need to use a pricker - to ensure the fine jet orifice is clear. In a pinch, a light gauge high "E" guitar string will work for same.

Fully anti-clockwise, the control spindle raises the in-built pricker rack and the pricker wire it has in it fills the jet orifice and no, or very little, vapourised fuel emerges from the jet. It’s necessary to turn the spindle a little clockwise, when the jet pricker is lowered. Clockwise, the flame regulates down to shutting off when as far clockwise as it will go.

@presscall is most likely correct. The built in pricker will block flow.
If you solve that, and still do not get a flame, then return and we can go the next step.

i turned it only slightly counter clockwise to see if it would lite and when it did not I turned it as far as it would go counter clockwise and then backed it off still nothing . is a good video showing how to totally take the unit apart or to clean it with a wire .

Maybe, remove fuel cap, connect pump to it, give it a few pumps (beside your ear) to ensure check valve in cap is letting air thru.

Pump air into tank and remove filler cap.
    Is the tank getting pressurised?
    Leave overnight.
    Is the tank staying pressurised?

Did you touch a lit match to the burner when you did that?

It is a multi fuel stove, are you using the correct jet? Just wondering.

I will check to see if the tank is being pressurized , I thought I would hear an air release once i opened the cap but not sure I did . not sure if there is a different needle for kerosene but they did include another piece if you intended to use alcohol full time I will try all the above and report results thanks again

yes the cap was not tight enough and I managed t get it lit the flame was high and mostly orange I could not get it to go low enough ,I am guessing it will have to come apart and be cleaned not sure . I did turn it all the way to the left to bring the needle up till it want to shut off then back but it made no difference.

The simmer flame, occurs just before shut off. How did you turn the stove off?

Skip to 1.30, unless you like looking at burning alcohol. Sounds like under-burn just after.

    Hi @peter burchell .

To understand how the burner and cleaning needle work, have a look at these posts:

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

I shut the stove off by turning it CW and the flame died , is it possible i pressurized the tank to much even now if I turn the burner CCW I will see fuel come out at top of burner . I am quite sure the previous owners only burned white gas it this stove and never kerosene ,if that means anything thanks

You need a "m" or "k" jet to use kerosene.
