    Hello
I've come across this Primus no71. There is no stamp at the bottom. Does anyone know what year it was manufactured?

    Kind regards Marcus 20200213_185348.jpg 20200213_185418.jpg 20200213_185441.jpg 20200213_185507.jpg 20200213_191030.jpg 20200213_191049.jpg

    @Mackah
Designated ‘71E’ with that windshield/stand. Not in the photos (missing?) are an aluminium pot to store the whole thing, a lid/frypan and a pot lifter. 71E’s were marketed right up to the mid-1950’s but looking at the stove and fuel cap pattern I’d say that’s one from the late 1930’s.

    Closely resembles mine, featured HERE.

    Very nice!
Here's what I've done with my 71. I have no pan support so I made one from a tomato can:

    Hi K.
The tank gets pretty warm but not worryingly so. Not too different from other self pressurizing stoves. I wish I had one of those non-contact thermometers to check it. But since it does seem to be industry consensus to include a barrier above the tank my tomato can system does include the option of doing that. I have a stainless shield that fits in there at a small penalty in awkwardness. I can post it next time I take some pictures.
    Cheers

+1 with twoberth. So very clever.
TY myford. I think it wise to integrate a heat shield with ample air/heat flow through, credit kerophile link.

    Re OP:
Thank you @Mackah for posting your 71 and including the detailed pics.
Congrats lucky man, that is very nice.
    Re your question:
"Does anyone know what year it was manufactured?"

As shown in OP it is a Primus 71D, 1931- c.1932
(an accompanying pot & pan makes it a 71E)

    re 71D:
    I explain 1931-37 71D, 71E & 71L here.
All members are great don't get me wrong but non-subscribers can take my word for it, these kits are offered in 1931 to 1937 Primus catalogs, here is link to such a 1931 offering (in, subscriber, ref. section).

    re 1931- c.1932
Yours is a 1st version Primus 71, as shown in OP w/your specific parts in place.

FYI: there are many versions of the Primus 71.
Narrowing year ranges for "what year" an example was made is an ongoing challenge.
To-date I gather, re early undated examples, there are 4 versions of Primus 71 1931-37:
    > 1931- c.1932 1st version Primus 71 then a
    > c.1933 / c.1935 Primus 71 version then a
    > c.1936 Primus 71 version then in
    > 1937 Primus 71 date stamps began.

Corrections & comments welcome, certainly re dating & dating terms. TY

Regarding the (absent) heat shield. That is an "undocumented feature". The can has some small slots to accommodate mounting a heat shield.
    As seen mounted here:
    heat shield.JPG
There are air gaps on the perimeter of the shield to permit air flow from the lower part of the enclosure to the burner section.
