This is a purely reference post to show an example of yet another Erikssons brand, "Reliable'. An ironic choice of brand name given that this example at least has a catastrophically stress fractured tank and will never light again! But for what it is, here it is. Someday someone might spot a "Reliable' that actually works
Now that is some nice patina and the engraving is really deep and readable as well. I'm just wondering why such a reliable stove isn't lit up and burning? Maybe a flame shot later. Ben
I can't read, I just look at the pictures. Damn shame about the stress crack it's a beautiful stove. Ben
@igh371 It's interesting that this stove has "best stove in the world" in several languages stamped on the side. Could Eriksson be the company that sued Sievert for using that same motto and forced them to change to "king of stoves"? Ray
Nice old "RELIABLE", thanks. The use of "3 crowns" is widely used, not sure how widely understood it is. The Erikssons KFE MF_AB logo is less known and understood. Credit to Ian for this post and his 1934 example to spell out the logo for us. KFE K.F.E. … Karl Fredrick Erikssons MF AB , MF A.-B. Metallfabriks Aktiebolaget We see this logo in use 1930s, FYI "1908 they become an ”aktiebolag” (AB) (Ltd) and the same year the production of kerosene stoves started." 2019 source Eskilstuna, Sweden 115k / 71mi west of Stockholm.
