    I bought this No.2 in 1997 when there were only a few left of the very last assembly ever made of these traditional brass stoves with fixed legs. Until now, it had never been lit.

    That is a huge stove. I've got a Primus 3 that must be about the same size. I've never fired it up but now I'm tempted. Looks great. Thanks for posting.

    Thanks all,

    @z1ulike , Ben the No.3 is even bigger. You must unleash the roar of your burner! Fire it up!!

    @Staffan Rönn , Staffan,

    Those #2 stoves are fantastic, and it's wonderful to see your "last batch" version, doing so great, right out of the box!! As I now own 5 of those #2 stoves, including one that has never been fired up, I am beginning to think of them as the perfect large stove. I have a #3 that came in it's original wooden shipping box, with hose clamps around the legs, to protect them in shipping. I've never fired that one up, either, and will probably keep it unfired, just because I love it so much! That one came with a spare burner, too, and all it's goodies. But, getting back to the #2, it's a hard stove to beat, for doing cooking jobs, both large, and medium in size!! Yours is a real beauty, too!!

    To compare the #2, and #3, here's a shot of our dear, sadly departed, friend, Bajabum, and meself. He's holding his #2, and I've got my #3. This was at our very first CASG event. I sure do miss Steve! His #2 now belongs to me, and it reminds me of this day, every time I look at it.

    Many thanks for sharing your new #2, and your photos are most excellent, too!! HUZZAH to the #2 stoves!! They're GREAT!! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Thanks, Staffan.

    I love my Primus No. 2. It gets used regularly in the kitchen for stir frying.

    Thanks again for comments. Those larger brassies are quite impressive indeed. And Doc @Doc Mark , you seem to always have a story to tell for every stove model there is!! Great fun and thanks for sharing.
    Stir frying must be a perfect job for the No. 2s @Tony Press !:thumbup:

    @Staffan Rönn

    The No. 2s are perfect for stir frying. I’ve posted a few times here examples of cooking on the No. 2.

    Cheers

    @Staffan Rönn ,

    Staffan,

    I apologize for jumping in on your great post! I got carried away, and probably should have held my water. Yes, I have lots of stove stories, and have been fortunate to have met so many of our Fellow CCS members from here in the States, and also overseas. But, I realize that, sometimes, there is such a thing as "too many stories". I'll go sit quietly in the corner....! :oops::-#;):lol:

    @Doc Mark ,
    Oh no Doc, don't ever sit quietly in your corner. I truly love and appreciate your stove related stories and photos, and I do not think I'm alone in doing that!! Keep them coming!
