I've got a Primus 34 coming in, my friend says he's happy to trust me to pay him a fair amount but I'm actually unsure how much to pay. Any help appreciated. Is it a valuable stove or a pretty standard Primus?
@Robert Radcliffe , Look at the ones in the Stove Reference Gallery. They do appear to be rather rare. I see this one has a replacement SVEA pot support trivet, instead of the cast iron original one. Also looks like the fuel cap is a SVEA replacement. Can't see the engraving on the font. Check out the Gallery, and see what you think. Nice stove, though. Good luck, and God Bless! Doc
@Doc Mark do you know I'd missed the fuel cap although at least I'd spotted the trivet. Thanks for replying.
Are you sure about the identity of this stove? It appears to me to be a Svea stove, not Primus make - Svea filler cap, Svea pressed trivet, Svea looking feet to the legs, and what looks like the Svea "King of Stoves' shield on the tank top. Can't see any more details on this photo though. Ian @Robert Radcliffe
@igh371 well now I feel like a damned idiot. Amongst the pictures my friend sent me I've posted the wrong one! That's a Svea 5. I'm still waiting for a picture of the whole stove but here's some that are at least the correct stove. Hangs head in embarrassment .
Hello Robert, very nice 34! I am still looking for one, I have two Primus 30, the roarer ones. For the value, I would pay around 50£ for it, easily. Cheers, Nicola
