Meva 444

Got my Kampkook in today, plus this one, the Meva 444. My first gravity feed stove. Taking awful photos today. Hand is shaky for whatever reason.

Although it seems to seal well, I'm sure it needs a new seal. Also, a new wick.

Nice one, I really like these stoves for making coffee indoors.
But I don't have a Meva, only Turm stoves.

But mine doesn't have a wick.

These have a wick inside the tube: Meva - alcohol stove

 

Seven minutes to boil a cup of water. And that's just a slight boil. I think if I tweak it a bit, it should do better than that:

I find it has a steadying effect....

 

Wonder if the Meva likes Maker's Mark? Iffin it does, we'll get along just fine and dandy thank you.

 

The wife was away all day yesterday when my stoves came in the mail. I had a feeling she would want this one, and she did, haha. Not gonna happen.
