I bought this at a car boot sale today. It is marked 'FAX', and I have never seen one like it before.

It is fairly small but very well made from thick aluminium and with chrome plated steel handles. The big pan is marked '1 litre', and the smaller one looks to be about 3/4 litre. The lid is 1.25 inches deep and will make a good plate/fry pan.

Anybody come across FAX sets before?

They look very similar to the old Czech army mess tins. Especially with the little loop in the handle.
Sorry I can't help any further!

Those were floating around here for a while... Met a fella selling them for $2 a set, and I bought a bunch of them to give the 13 Granddarlings, and various in-laws and outlaws... Great Christmas stocking stuffers and Birthday gifts when I forgot to pick up something... Should have kept one for myself I reckon...
