Stumbled upon this A.E. Lovett with the stand the other day. It has been a long dry spell for me for kero stoves, not many in my area and I prefer to avoid the on-line auctions but saw this on a junk dealers shelf and was immediately drawn to the stand. The stand has some rust but should clean up fine. As to the stove itself, of course the top cap of the silent burner was missing as was the pump assembly but the tank is in great conditions with is tarnished but no dents. The flame spreader is a little bent but will repair. No markings other then the stand and the fuel cap. I’ve been reading the old threads on these and guessing it is from around 1900 or a couple years earlier? I am on a search for a pump assembly and if anyone has one for sale please let me know, I would love to see this stove working again. It is easily my oldest stove.
Thank you Tony, I am excited about this one. Apparently they aren't too many of these. I did not see any in the Stove Refence with the stand so I will endeavor to document this one there once I have time for a better clean up. I am amazed at the condition of the tank, a testament I guess on how having a separate stand would serve to protect it. A standard Primus silent burner top cap seems to fit fine but the pump assembly may be difficult to source. I do believe that on this one I will only remove any corrosion and not attempt to polish the tank if I can avoid it. The stand shows some rust damage but not significant. I will likely strip it using electrolysis and replace the heavy enamel black paint that originally was on it. There are traces of original black paint underneath.
