The event was due to take place the first weekend of June but the new UK roadmap out of lockdown means gatherings of more than 30 people will still not be able to happen. I will arrange an online event as we did last year. Prime Minister sets out roadmap to cautiously ease lockdown restrictions
Understandable and a great shame. Perhaps a few of us can meet up in small groups? At least we will have the virtual meet.
I enjoyed it last yr. It was nice to see other people I've been seeing on here. I was hoping to be moved in and unpacked by that time but HR threw me a curve so now all my stoves and lanterns will remain packed away till Sept. Looking forward to participating again this yr.
Hi @Spiritburner That's a great shame. I wonder what constitutes "a gathering"? I note that the Camping Club are opening their England sites wef earliest opening date will be the 12th of April (without facilities). Campers will need to have their own self-contained toilet facilities. Looks like facilities should then open from 17th of May at the earliest. Not sure what their District Associations are doing in respect of "group camps/rallies, though. What is to stop a number of people with a common interest from pitching up at a camp site for a weekend? Would it be possible to roll it forward a few weeks? Rgds Dean
Nothing. Sites may be open from 12 April but social distance rules will apply. I can't arrange the gathering on that basis but nothing to stop people camping at any venue under whatever rules apply I'm unable to commit beyond the current date unfortunately.
