In his write-up on the Optimus Nova+ Staffan said: I wanted to take advantage of the ease of installation and use with a Trangia but needed an adaptor. Making something on the lines of the Optimus or Trangia adaptors was an option but I liked the idea of an installation that didn’t require separation of the Nova burner from its windshield/body. THIS thread threw up some possibilities. My Nova+, Swedish made with CEJN connector, hose to pump. Windshield folded. Fits in the Trangia lower windshield, hose poking through the ready-made aperture. That’s insufficient of itself, there’s too much clearance and the stove tips sideways with movement of the control spindle, particularly when turning the fuel supply on. Here’s my adaptor. A piece of flared exhaust pipe (I think it was) and three lugs to engage with the Nova’s windscreen. It fits on the Nova in this way. It provides a secure installation in the Trangia by splaying the Nova’s pot rests slightly to take up the slack and also shields the aluminium from burner flames. There’s no movement of the Nova when the control spindle is activated. Priming with alcohol, fuel valve opened as the priming charge expires. Quite a low setting. High’s pretty fierce. Controllable.
