Anyone heard of Aspen 4T, a fuel for 4 stroke engines? (sorry but the URL links are not working at the moment.)
It has been mentioned on another site, as a cheaper alternative to Coleman Fuel, with a lot less of the nasties of unleaded or Panolio Wipio.

I've heard of it and indeed asked the same q. - Found a supplier up near Fyldefox but nobody near here (yet?) - looks like a much better bet than coleman for the stoves designed to use petrol - 71/8R/99.

N.B. they also do a 2T -> DO NOT USE THIS, its twostroke pre-mix.

    Hi
Looked on the website and Sam Turners in Northalleton stock it, the guy was very nice but they only has 2 stroke can anyone tell me if this can be used in stoves as it is mixed with oil. My thoughts are that probably not but what do I know.
The guy there gave me some to try free, but don't want to ruin a good thing, ie my stove.
    Any advice welomed

i would say most definitely don't touch it . . . . the oil content will make a real mess and the smell will be awful, if you get it to combust properly that is.

Panel wipe still works OK for me.

Keith is right, of course. Don?t use the oil blended kind.
Strange thing that the guy didn?t have Aspen 4t (for four stroke engines).
I have used it in my lanterns with good result, but I find it a bit to expensive.
Every gas station should keep the 5-litre cans with the cheaper equivalent to Aspen. I?m not sure what it?s called in english, but a direct translation would be Alkylate petrol, and it works like a charm. Atleast on the lamps and lanterns...

I kind of thought as much thanks for the advice, the guy said he could get the 4t stuff and at 15gbp for 5 litres it is not cheap but cheaper that coleman fuel.

Some of the "Panel Wipes" are high in aromatic content - and sluggish in the primus 71 and friends.
    Might be worth a shot.
