I bought a spares lot some years ago, among the items were this DSC_0028 (2).JPG

Obviously an alcohol conversion set - but for what type of stove?

janders is the one asking... i think this may be tough question to answer.

    Sievert "alcohol conversion set", :thumbup::thumbup:
Well, yes. Myself, this is the 1st Sievert conversion kit i recall ever seeing.
On package we see SPRIT DETALJER, AB Max Sievert, Sundbyberg, may be a print code of 1954.
On jet we see "S" for Sprit.

"but for what type of stove?"
Maybe we consider what silent burner(s) this converts. You will have for us one initial answer, large or small...

    what is basic jet size?...
is it large size to fit like the 5, 105, 50/150 series etc.
I don't know off top of my head of small silent burners but I would like us to confirm size is basic #5 size.

IF this is the larger size I can follow up later, gotta run.

@OMC Thx, your question about jet size made the light bulb go off in my head....

    The answer is Svea 158!

I have borrowed some pictures from different posts:

    Svea no : 158

    And content once more:

    Svea No:158

Now to see if the restrictor (or jet) can be used on other stoves...

You will find Svea silent burners are compatible with Optimus silenet burner conversion parts.
    seen here

As far as I know we can not yet point to such a Sievert conversion kit in a catalog (esp. parts list)?

Your kit can be used to convert an 815 silent burner
** and "possibly" Sievert provided it for the 1915 regulated as well ?
[oh, per above comment it looks like that is the kit provided for 1915 burner also ]

Open question: installing just those 2 parts into a kero 1915 will it burn alcohol? and also still regulate and turn off? [again. it's looking like it will?] That makes that conversion considerably easier.

Re converting large (No.5 size) silent burners kero to sprit:
    Svea regulated silents with valve / cleaning needle include No.s 1915 (1715 & 1815)
    and
Svea silent, no valve ie No.815.

Note: Re these kits, specifically the kit Radius offered.
*That kit, per catalog, comes w/cleaning needle
BUT in link **"...the five or six 9154 kits that I have examined have only consisted of the restrictor-tube and jet." stejar
I won't speculate but I myself take that ^^^ into consideration re your kit as well.

    ---------------------------
    Side note, a key point,
this kit (and comments) regards only kero to Sprit (not Sprit to kero).
If the smaller kero cleaning needle remains installed, it will be a loose fit but will fit into the Sprit jet (and might even still regulate?).
VS: for sprit -to- kero conversion, a larger (Optimus) Sprit cleaning needle will not fit into a smaller kero jet.
    --------------------------

Sam RIP showed us Optimus 111 alcohol parts used to convert a 1915 kero to alcohol (seen in link above). He included the cleaning needle... given stejar's comment and 2 examples of Sievert kit, I'm less sure changing the cleaning needle is required?
If that is the case, I'm wondering if your 2 pc. kit "might" convert any large Svea silent kero burner to Sprit?

I'll dig deeper in the lot and see if I can find an unopened set - to see if a cleaning needle is/was included.
But judging from the pictures of the set in the 158-posts I'd say a needle was not included. Maybe the instructions for the 158 can shed some light on the needle issue?
