primus made brass jugs

    came across a brass pouring jug marked ,Primus made in Sweden No. 2353 ,was wondering if anyone out there has seen this model jug before as my search didnt come up with any tangible info

    I have the 2351 brass pouring jug, looks like its about 600ml

    does it have a curved spout and a deep rimmed hinge top?

    any idea what they were used for , as they seem to be ,maybe, multi purpose

    Not the same jug but aye, they are a nice find! Usually used for topping up the paraffin/kerosene (or petroleum as it's is/was called in many European countries.

    I think you're right in thinking multi-purpose, such a design would be handy for all sorts of things in workshops and factories. Both Primus and Optimus made various other products for domestic and industrial use over the years.
