1956/1957 double date Primus 96

    I had to pick up this stove with 1957 on one leg and tank stamped AV for 1956. Three of my four from 1956, 1957. Something to go with my K date stoves, B, over stamped B by a C and C dates.

    Very interesting acquisition. Being AV the last year for tank dating codes and 1957 the first for new dating stamping this stove demonstrates that sometimes on the same stove we can find parts from different productions and this probably always happened. An important aspect to always keep in consideration when we try to date stoves in general.

    Basically we can say it’s a 1957 stove, in 1956 they didn’t have 1957 parts, unless Doc Brown was in the assembling line and a Delorean parked next to the Primus factory :)
