Heat and soak is fine, but try to remove rod while spring is hot, don't let it cool

@snwcmpr If you got it hot enough I suppose you are correct. So keep the heat off the pricker.
@Duane and I both seem to be fond of heat. Don't be shy. Propane torch, nothing there to damage by getting it HOT.
Looking forward to pictures. Looking forward to hearing is your secondary valve opens smoothly with knob, mine is kind of a pain.
I've got the same basic stove with a more typical grate. Go easy freeing up that secondary shaft, it can be fragile.
@KARIM I think the tanks are just soldered on those, so pretty straightforward to fix. I hope you do fix the tank so you can do the "Hot Blast"...
@cooter303 , when you get it, the fill cap gasket will probably be crap (mine was), you can use a SVEA 123 fill cap gasket, yoiu just have to trim...
