I love these early models and we don't see many here in the states.

The paint may have protected the box from rust and help me get my "make an offer" price.

Both inside and outside needed the paint stripper.
Interesting the way these tins turn this grey color

Works great after some new lead and leather.
    Thanks for looking

Yeah, those are my favorite versions of the 96s with bun, crow, or solid feet like yours. No moving parts down there either.

Nice flame you have there. I like it when the burner is red and blue like that. Doesn't get much better than that than maybe a larger blue flame!

    Thanks,
    sam

The first stove I ever bought was a Primus 96 and I still have it.
But it was not such an early beauty like the one you show.
A really good find. Well done! :D

Now that is one SWEET stove. And the reason I subscribe to CCS. Seeing that stove is definitely worth the price of admission.

    Hi Doug
    A very nice buy.

Nice tin clean up as well I wax Bare metal tins with Briwax to stop or at least hold back too much more rust and it gives a pleasing but not in your face finish.

I have one of this vintage which I have been getting sorted.

I am missing the tank air valve screw which I have been keeping an eye out for for a year now! Pot stands I can source and eventually a tin etc. But looking at yours the wait will be worth it.
    Cheers Nick
