1932 Primus 514

    This stove is a bit odd, the left tank is from 1927 and the right from 1932 so the stove is probably a 1932.
    But why 5 years difference between them. I don't think one has been replaced, all looks like original.
    One possibility is that the left one was produced in a much higher quantity to be fitted on the single burner versions and therefore they had a big stock that was used on double burners.

    Bo: Is one tank nickelled and the other brass? That would indicate that one of thge tanks is not original, wouldn't it?

    Very interesting...five years is a long time to be holding stock of tanks but who knows what might have happened in the factory at the time. I note that the pump rod knobs are different with one having a stamp. Would they be more likely to be the same if installed together? Maybe it was a well executed early replacement of one tank?

    If it bothers you I'm sure someone would take it off your hands! ;)

    No, both are brass, just the photo that is unclear.
