These are of more interest historically than from a stove collector's point of view In 1962 when Bahco sold the Primus brand name for liquid fueled stoves these were the replacements sold by Primus in the UK. They were probably available earlier in Sweden and Norway. The bottles contained propane and were patented although I only realized that today. I bought the stove that contained the bottles to get the bottles for refilling. I was surprised when the stove arrived because one bottle was marked Horvik Verk so was from Norway and the other was marked Bahco so was from Sweden. British bottles were filled by Calor so the stove must have been brought in from Scandinavia with the original bottles. These bottles are correct for the age of the lamp and stove so have never been exchanged for full ones The stove has a replacement burner head because the other had the gauze on the top burned through. It was excellent and gave a consistent performance in any weather The light was also good giving a lot of light and a lot of heat to keep the tent warm in winter. Unfortunately both were bulky and heavy. Both were bought in 1962. My mother had an old house that needed a lot of renovation including plumbing work. She bought one bottle and a blow lamp with various burners. I bought one bottle with the stove and lamp and i replaced empty bottles if they had been used for camping and she replaced them if they had been used for plumbing or burning off paintwork. Whatever was happening there was always a full bottle spare (in theory) Regards Bryan
