1963 - Optimus No:111 - Norwegian military

The Norwegian army has used the Optimus 111 for many years. I remember using them back in 1977. (Those were the days ...)

This one has never been fired.
It's the plain paraffin version with the box I find most appealing, the one with embossed lid.

 

That is a pristine stove you have there ,a mint condition 111,i'm green with envy
How long have you had it?,How much did it set you back? And will you fire it up?

I have had it for about 4 years.

Set me back? Not much. Less than $60 if I remember correct.

I have not lit it yet and have no plans in doing so. I have more than enough user 111's to last my lifetime.

 

Several of us have gotten pristine, NIB 111's from one of our members, Mr. Finn Hjelmerud .

Maybe you don't plan on firing it, but my God man, you ruined it simply by opening the box.
