I've just fired up my old Bat. Fires up easily and puts out loads of heat. The NRV is faulty so I had to hold the pump in. My father bought it new in 1965 in Melbourne and it served the family well for a few years before being replaced by a 2 burner Companion gas stove (which my father still has sitting unused for over 40 years.) I took over the Bat in the late '70s and used it for a few years in to early' 80s before retiring it. It has sat unused in the shed for over 35 years. But apart from the leaking NRV, it is good. I'll try to load a photo. You can see the Bat along with my Coleman dual fuel stoves, Coleman dual fuel lamps, a Tilley Lamp, a Companion blowtorch, and an old stove of dubious origins. Everything still works but the odd NRV and washer need fixing.
