Looking for parts for a Svea 123. Tried emailing a&h enterprises and called 2 different phone numbers on their website with no luck. One is a bank and the other is disconnected. I am in the USA. Also emailed Fettlebox but no response yet either.

I heard Shirlene doesn't sell on the bay anymore, may be getting up in their years. Ross has a job also and gets busy time to time.

Got a response from Ross. Are there any other suppliers for parts just for reference, not that there is anything wrong with fettlebox.

A few items on the bay, not all look like original when installed. Too shiny.

Base Camp in UK is a good source.
    Fettlebox.
    A&H.

Other than that, If my memory serves in recalling all the good ones, you need to know more about what you need, to ensure the right item.
Some new parts are made for new stoves, and they do not fit our vintage stoves.

    Hi,

Shirlene stopped selling on eBay some time back and I can't blame her. eBay rips sellers off with excessive fees and then Paypal adds to those fees. In the end it is more of a loss then a gain.

I do believe Shirlene is selling stove items and parts from her home.

    Here is her web page.

    @Mustang67ford

What parts are you looking for? In most cases you'll only need cap seals or possibly a new wick that we make from cotton mop strands.
I'd stay away from buying stoves missing burners or essential parts unless they are really, really good deals as in practically free. Buying an incomplete stove with the intention of finding parts to restore it will generally cost more than waiting to find a complete stove.
Fettlebox is my choice for seals. Base Camp has parts not listed on the web page that you'll need to contact them for inquiries. Send an email and be patient for their response. I have gotten parts there that no else can supply. A&H was once an Optimus service center but same as Base Camp we don't know what's left in full inventory and there is no resupply of some of these vintage parts.

I heard just the other day that A&H is calling it quits. I just bought 3 svea 123 tank cap gaskets, and Shirlene gave me one free.

@Ray123 , agreed, unless you've got your Senior Master Fettler rating, then you don't give a fig, bring it on!:thumbup:

I bought a complete stove. It got lost from usps shipping but supposedly arrived today. Just planning incase i need parts. I believe i will need to reseat the stem from the tank as the pic shows it out of position. I will then do the test where you put it in the freezer for a little then into hot faucet water and look for bubbles. It is missing the pricker but will tryvto make from guitar cord. Are there any any write-ups on doing the hot water test, how long to let in freezer then water?

I've seen write-ups. Offhand I don't know where they are so you'll have to search around. This freezer test is a good test for a leak you can't find. Most often you can skip the freezer part and just put the stove in hot water in the sink. Usually any leaks are from the cap seals.

I do not use the freezer. Just room temp into hot water for a few minutes.
I open the valve before taking it out to see the jet is clear.

Oops. I should have read this thread. I just bought (on 9/11/20) an Optimus 199 Ranger Windshield. No email confirmation. No answering her email. No answering the phone. I've opened a dispute with Paypal. They really need to take down their website.
