Here is a AGM Kamp Kook #7 that I received from a gentleman in North Carolina. The man said that he purchased the stove new and that his boys used it for many, many years. It is much the same as my #10 Triple burner, but with only two burners. This stove will eventually be stripped and repainted to match its #10 sibling. I just love the cast iron grates in these old timers . The last pic is of my two AGM's together. My dog, posing in the picture is recovering from cruchiate ligament repair as seen by his 13" scar on his back left leg .
Brilliant job you did on the 3-burner model Dan, and great to get the two-burner as a stove stablemate. I know what you mean about separate pumps when you mentioned it in your description of the #10. I've a Coleman lantern with one and it's not the best arrangement. I guess it takes more to pressurise a tank for a stove than is the case with a lantern too. Glad your dog's on the mend. All the best, John
dday, Very nice job. Those grates are super cool looking for sure Save for the external pump set-up these are some very solid , good running stoves. Tom
I recently purchased a similar stove: AGM Kamp Kook #7. The stove is in fair condition and the labels are in pretty good shape. After getting it I realized that it did not have a pump? Any suggestions on locating one? Scott
There's a well-known auction site that lists pumps all the time under antique lanterns. Some are AGM, Coleman and other maker's pumps. Most will work on these AGMs. I've found a few at junk stores and antique shops, though, they want a pretty penny for 'em. sam
Hello, I just joined this site because I was given an American Kampkook No 4 stove recently. It is a 2 burner with wonderful cast iron grates. It has a glob of green paint on it over rust and all which I am in the process of removing right now. Peter K
