Would love some info on this stove, my grandfather has one in his shed and I cant seem to find anything on the internet about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Nathan.
A whole lot of pictures would be nice. Im guessing its a rare beast.
Try poking about on this web site-
Kerosene heaters and stoves
Thanks guys ill try and post some pics, so far all i've found is that it was released in 1954 and displayed at Sydney Royal Easter Show. Does anyone else have any info?
Another nice one.
Why are the really neat ones always on the other side of the globe???
This Trove ad gives dimensions and a good description of the stoves ability. The ad is dated the 7th of May, 1953
Here is an other version, not a good pic but will post on the gallery a better one when I get it out. It's missing one side trivet and the rear splash brackets otherwise it works well. I found it in a scrappys yard no it's side and had to fit it in the car, big job. I have a place for it eventually, it's going in my slab hut when I build it. The slab hut is now dismantled in the shed, just got to find a place for it. Bid on a block with river frontage, good trout fly fishing but they wanted too much . Here is a pic.
I had the chance of one of these with the two burners and the oven. Price was reasonable for what it was, all complete just needed burner caps, but sadly I have a severe lack of room and these are not small stoves. Someone at some point in its life must have paid a fair bit of money to have it shipped over from Oz, it would probably cost more in shipping than what the seller was asking for it. Oh well, just another one that'll play on my mind for a while.
