I did a brief search in the catalogs. It looks like 1957/8 was the last year in the catalog. Some as early as the 30s.

    Very nice stove.

Did you take it out of the sealed box?
    That would have been priceless.

Hi thank you and no the box wasn’t sealed it was just in loft with a pile of rubbish so was fortunate I was being nosey otherwise would have been in a skip. I assume it’s all there not really sure what I’m looking at I tried researching online but there doesn’t seem to be anything at all other than a couple of pictures.

I don’t know a price for that stove, but it is a fine collector’s piece.

I’m sure someone here will be pleased to take it off your hands if you don’t want it.

    Hi thanks tony
I think I would sell it on if I can find someone who knows what it’s worth and who’s willing to buy it, as it’s going to waste just up in my loft.

    I'm on the way....
You have a few decisions to make.

If you find the domestic history of the stove interesting and would like to use it, then it may give you a bit of a talking point and a bit of education into the bargain. They are pretty simple to operate and fun at the same time.

They are not very common and would get a good price on eBay, but you are in the hands of who's out there. With shipping abroad a distinct probability.

Many here would appreciate one of those in their collection in that condition and will give you a fair and reasonable offer if they have not already done so.

It would be nice to see it when we get together in Newark later in the year.

Hi thanks to be honest stoves don’t particularly interest me, so if someone on here wanted to add it to there collection then I would be happy to let it go to a collector and someone who appreciates it for what it is. When I opened the box I was shocked because it is a lovely item but not really for me

New in box even though the box hasn't been opened I bet the tank doesn't even smell of fuel. I don't know UK prices but could see it reaching the value of a nice second hand car on ebay.

If no one offers you a good price here, list it on eBay. There is a market for that stove.

    Cheers

I would most definitely not light it if you intend to maximize its sale value. This will be regarded as a collectors item by most who are interested in these classic stoves. Many such collectors, as with many other types of artifacts, place a high added value on items which are "pristine", or "unused", or, in the case of classic stoves, "unfired".
Believe me, you will need to make no representations about its functionality.

    True.
Do not light it if you wish to sell it.

Put it on ebay at a low price and when the bidding is done you will find out what it is worth.

Don’t light it. It’s worth more unlit.
