Hi Lovely enamelled cast-iron stand. I would bet that the stand is French-made.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

There is a Auto Optimus No.8 in the gallery here. I think Kerophile is right about the stand.

I have the impression Optimus made whatever made money, and the french market was rather extensive.
This beautiful hue of green is a typical french enamel, often applied to french castings.
Not too long ago a prominent member on CCS bought himself a similar cast stand for a Primus. I do know of the existence of a very rare Svea opposed twin burner in a green cast frame, unearthed in Wallonie, french Belgium. All this is food for the thought that there was a happy union between french iron casting and swedish stove technology.
I would not be surprised to learn that this particular stand is from the 1910's or thereabouts. Lovely item!
Could you give us an indication of its size?
A soda can will do nicely for comparisson!

    Hi,

The Swedish manufacturers certainly adapted their product for local markets.

Check out this recent post that I made:

You will see lots of similar support stands offered by Primus.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

I've resized & rehosted the pictures & moved this to the Stove Reference Gallery where it deserves to be.

    (no photobucket allowed here)

    It's a No:8G. I've edited the title.
