This stove was sold in the UK by Blacks of Greenock, a camping equipment specialist. The stove is probably a BAT produced in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). 1368369572-P1010586_1__opt.jpg

Does the burner unscrew or is it one of those pointless jobs where the legs come out but the burner doesnt?

David, I am sure that this stove was designed to breakdown but unfortunately the cap that replaces the burner has been lost with time.Having said that the original box appears to have been lost many years ago but it did arrive in a well made wooden box that would have held it in its broken down condition beween uses.. Sir
Your reserve cap is not lost. It is screwed on top of your tank lid, and I can see it. It has a male screw and seals inside of a solered (to the tank) riser tube with an O-ring. I can see the O-ring in your picture. I think there was no box made for this model.

Svea 121, many thanks for pointing out the cap. I must apologise for this very belated response. I checked it out and sure enough it's there.

    All the best, Brian
