    Hi All,

just got a brand new COB picnic stove, belonged to a guy who ran a hardware store and was never used :-)

Even has the original gas canister, just tested and it works, haven't got a clue how to remove the gas canister??? any clues, there's clips but don't want to force things and don't want to remove it if it's one of the puncture types.

    cheers!

I've just purchased a pretty beat up up thing just to add to the collection of bluet copies

The cartridge is no longer available but others have been able to refill in-situ

    Await the clever people

    Cool find

    :)

    Hi @Renyk de'Vandre ,

Don't try to remove the canister if it's not empty. It's a pierceable one, and you might encounter quite an uncomfortable situation if removing it with gaz still inside... Use the stove ocasionnaly, then when it's empty you could remove the canister by unclipping it / detach the clips. ;)

The Cob picnic stove is one of the english copies of the Bleuet stove. There are at least 3 manufacturers that proposed copies of the bleuet: "Cob", "Ace" and "Unigas":

    Unfired ACE picnic stove

I don't know if there were any comercial agreement between Camping-Gaz and those brands, regarding patents for example... But the system was developped initially by Camping-Gaz with the Bleuet, released in 1956.
