Collecting one tomorrow but when I mentioned it will need conversion for modern cartridges the chap said not needed and gave me link to The campingaz C206 GLS pierceable gas cartridge which seem common. Yet when I google the stove every one seems to mention conversions. Any one use one ?
I am in uk if that matters
    Thank you

As fas as I am aware you will not need to do any conversion. If you can get your hands on a pierceable cartridge you will be fine. I have a system that goes the other way - I can use pierceable cartridges in screw thread stoves by using an adapter unit (made by Go Gas I think).

Thank you for the info. From what I gather if I wanted to convert it to take stew on canisters must guides suggest using a part off an old Coleman stove etc. these old stoves though are over 30 quid. Must be a cheap adapter some where

The 206 canister won't work on the Globetrotter without some modification.

thank you for that. The wires on it can’t be the original as the 206 very nearly fits. So the might just need a bit of adjustment. Maybe some one has had a go before.
I got it fit but had to use a lot of force and lost lot of gas plus it just feel very dangerous

I converted one of mine using the valve from a modern bluet. It now uses the clic camping gas canisters.
