Sorry but I'm new to Op stoves would like to know if a Op99 could be converted to a silent multifuel burner. I hope I haven't hurt anyones sensibilities but I would like to be able to run any fuel available.

    Welcome.

The Optimus 199 really is that “conversion” if you want to run kerosene, gasoline and alcohol.

    Cheers

You can make the 99 silent with a Bernie Dawg cap, but is is a white gas stove.

Thanks, I was afraid of that . I hoped since I already own a Op99 I might be able to find parts cheaper than multi-hundred $ stove. Yes the 99 I have is white gas. What is a Bernie Dawg cap??

A search of the site would produce copious information. The search function here at CCS is very good.
