    Anyone know anything about this stove? I was touring the Keys Ranch at Joshua Tree National Park this summer and saw this as the tour was walking by. I stopped just long enough to open it and snap a quick photo. Unfortunately, this is the only photo I had time to get. Any ideas?

    That would be my guess, maybe a marine stove? I'm sure someone here has a good idea of what it is.

    Greetings, @Steviebear ,

    I am pretty sure it's a gravity-fed gasoline stove, circa the 1920's. Lots of these were made for the car-camping craze of that time, and I have one that's very similar to that one. I'll have to make a trip out there to see it, but I'm also fairly certain of the brand!! Don't want to say, until I'm sure though. Very interesting!! Thanks for sharing, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    That’s why I love this forum. Never knew they made gravity fed gasoline stoves. Thank you Doc. I may make the pilgrimage there to see it also. Pam has a thing for Joshua trees and would like this trip and I don’t think it would be too hard on her.

    @Duck ,

    You are very welcome, Sir!

    Please check the "Events" area, as I just posted a note about camping in JTNP, and if you wanted to join us, that would be great! We're planning to do the tour at that time. Too darned hot for doing it now!!! YIKES! Look for the CASG info in the Events, area, if you might like to join us! Take care, and God Bless!

    Doc

    PS - I'll be bringing my own stove similar to the one in the photo, and you can see it in action, if you like!

    Prentiss Wabers #2, maybe? Handle and id plate made me think of PW. The #2 looks similar, at least.

    I've never seen a gravity fed gasoline camp stove. I might have to try to make the campout.

    If it is that old, it should have Grand Rapids as the city name.

    I don’t know if it’s visible in the photo I posted, but I can just barely make out the word grand on the id plate when I zoom in on the original photo.
