    I picked this up tonight for a song. I'm going to use it carefully.

    Not sure of the age. Where are the date stamps on these?

    Yes. Barely if at all.
    I'm thinking it'll get a tin foil lining for a splash guard.

    I believe that if you look either on the underside of the stove case or on the underside of the tabs that you use to attach the fuel tank to the stove case you will find a date stamp. I don't know when exactly Coleman started dating stoves, early 1960"s??? Nice find. Always amazed at the number of nearly new or new Coleman suitcase stoves that are out there waiting for good homes.

    I used it this weekend. Think I got a little carried away with the tin foil? image.jpg

    Very nice stove. Looks great. Yeah, you probably didn't use enough foil on your stove!

    @ally

    You can make it pretty by wrapping it in tinfoil!

    Cheers

    bumping old post.
    Billy,
    If you still have this can you please scour it (bright light & magnifier) for a date stamp?
    Why (old post, wtf)... fair question, it is NOS which makes it among our best reference examples. AND
    [there's a 421 stamped 68]
    Maybe yours is not stamped? Marsh has a 421D not stamped BUT there's also a 421E that is date stamped Feb 77.
    So, what do ya got there?
    no hurry, thx omc
