Due to concentrating on my Coleman lamp and lantern collecting I have not posted any stoves for quite a while but that does not mean I have stopped collecting them. This Coleman 425E dated 9 of 69 came to me as a gift in a rather large parcel from my good friend Dan (dday) in the USA. The stove box had never been opened which means this stove had never been lit and never will be by me. I took it out for pictures and it is now stored back in its box in a nice dry place. 40 years old and NIB. :p

Hi Den,excellent gift from dday! I can see no legs, yours must have the 4 small rounded feet on the bottom of the case.

I could not remember what legs it had Rick so I took it out and took a picture or two, no rubber feet though. Ron I got one of the lanterns I was after. A never been fired 201 kero lantern born June of 1982. Also an unused Coleman Coffee perc with 4 matching mugs.

Den, will those things ever get fired - in your lifetime? Or is it just an investment....like gold?

The 501's are great little lanterns, I have 3 in my collection.
Ron, I don't think I will ever light these because I have no reason to. As for an investment, to me they are part of my collection but I don't see them loosing money in the future.

For a time you could get them in Wal Mart but also Cabella's and i think LLBean carries them.
