I'm wondering if anybody here was the winner of the Coleman 4M for the German market recently sold on Ebay. I've never seen anything like it and think it would be a great addition to the Gallery. I saved all the pics from the listing and with the sellers permission, I'll post them in the Gallery...but I don't want to spoil it for the winner of the auction. Does anybody know?
Not me but I wished I had bid. Neat stove. A normal 4M like one I have with a few other features. Interesting Jeff
Jeff, I've got one too and for the life of me I can't figure out what that thing is that's sticking up out of the tank. Any ideas? External NRV?
Hi Matt The only thing it can be is a NRV set up to act as a safety release. The plate states "nur fur benzin" = Only for gas/petrol. Most Coleman's lack a safety release. During the 1960's the Germany Military wanted everything to run off benzin. But they soon realized you can't make things run off such a volatile fuel and be safe. This might have been meant for military use. Or to test if it could work. Jeff
