Here is my Coleman 520 complete with funnel, spanner and spares. I changed the filler cap washer and fired her up. Filled with panel wipe it lights easy and burns with a nice blue flame. Great stoves.

My Coleman stoves, lamps and lanterns increase in number and I would like to thank members of this great forum for helping me build my Coleman collection. The next Coleman stove on my list will be harder to find, so CCS members eyes out for an American made Solus 517 or 516.

Great shots of a great stove. Glad you won it.
I will keep my eyes out for the Solus 517 and 516

But you should also get this Rare coleman set.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

Nice one Jeff, when I first saw the link I got all hot and excited, problem is I don't collect suitcase stoves they cost to much to ship over. Baja my friend that is quick-draw humour and I thought Henry was the one and only stand-up on CCS. 10 out of 10 boys.

Sorry Littledre but I couldn't resist it.
Good one Baja!!! I feel for Ken. :)

I will though seriously keep both eyes out for the solus since there is a number of these in my area.

    Hello L'dre,

I have exactly the same stove as this one, only all the text on it is in French, and the container it sits in is made of steel sheet, not aluminium. I have looked all over and again, but cannot find any manufacturers name or date on it. It looks as if it is used a lot, and the paint on it looks like khaki. Any idea's?

    Regards,

    Wim

Hi Wim, I am no expert but fivver explained the 502 and 503 coleman in an earlier post. I can't find it but here is an exert from the post.
Wim try putting some picture up of your stove as it sounds like it is a M42. Does any of these look like your stove

:-k It looks exactly the same as your 520, only the canister of yours looks like aluminium, mine is steel and decal and other instructions are in french. Maybe these were made in France under license? But then again, I would expect to find some info re maker and such on it.

    Regards,

    Wim

Wim give us some pictures please mate. One thing I will say about the canisters like mine is that some people polish them up with a buffer and compound paste. I have seen them look like sheets of glass.
