    Curious... just saw this post, sorry

    The 524 should have 4 burners. I see that it could. It is just missing the extra burners. The 525 had two. The 525 was rated at 20000 btu's and the 524 was rated at 40000. That't my kind of stove!!! instant tea! I see why they called these heaters and not stoves.

    Beautiful! Just like it left the factory!

    My 525 only has 2 burners, but no additional plugs, so no capacity for more burners. It was missing the heat shield and has bolts in those perimeter holes. I'll eventually fabricate a pot stand for it.

    I guess the 4 hole tanks got the 524 sticker regardless. Coleman is famous for reusing common parts like this. And it's probably cheaper to just make one tank and add plugs or burners for the different models. Mine is a much older model with an ancient looking pressure guage. Works great for the Wok, lots of heat!

    Was there any additional hardware in the crate?
