I have just lit my Peak 400A for the first time in 35 years and it started first time. No leaks either. A brilliant piece of kit! I am wondering how the "clean" position on the lever works, it seems to just turn the flame down to a low level? How should it be used? Thanks for any help.

Hi - always a pleasure owning a stove like that.
That little handle is attached to a very thin but hardened wire which runs all the way inside the generator, from the handle to the tip of the jet orifice. When “pricking/Cleaning” the wire just protude like 1mm through the jet orifice, and by that cleaning the jet of any leftovers from running. When the wire slides through the jet - a tiny amount of vapor might get by along the side of the wire —> Tiny flames.

Turn the handle back, and the wire returns all inside the generator again.
