@z1ulike, Ben, that's quite the bit of flame candy, well thought out and designed! It's given me a few ideas on a roll-my-own project here!

    Nice stove.

Can't help thinking that it should be a comet number 3 with that trivet

The trivet is the icing on top of the cake! A rare enough stove itself, but the trivet!
It's almost worth getting a few re-cast for wall art!!

A couple of years ago I had did just that. I had a Vesuvius 100 that needed a grate so I borrowed one from a CCS member and mailed it off to the Auburn Stove Foundry in Maine. They made several copies at a cost of $50 each as I recall. I returned the original undamaged to its owner. Later I acquired an original shown here for comparison. The reproduction is on the left and the original on the right in these photos.

"Rangie: 'It's almost worth getting a few re-cast'; (you Ben): 'a couple of years ago I had did just that' " - well you really have done it now Ben - have you seen the queue forming outside your door already, all waiting for the first batch of your new triangular Comet trivet reproductions to be released:lol:

So, I'm going to enquire with that foundry (not too far from here) about getting an original Primus No. 1/5 cast iron trivet reproduced. i have one here that is pristine. I'll let you know how I get on. Peter

Yes, please do. My experience with Auburn Stove Foundry was very positive.
