Seems the '60 96 is as rare as a WW II stove, although I do have a 210 I think from '60. The '60 would complete my collection of the later 96's with the date stamped along a leg. I keep looking and asking evilbay sellers their dates. Only a couple failed to respond, guess some think they are all the same.

Don't despair Duane, one will surface one of these days and you will be the only one to recognizes its significance. My guess is you'll acquire it for a song. Of course that's assuming they subscribe to CCS and know how much you desire one. If I were you I'd shut my mouth and keep my eyes open. It might be cheaper that way.

Its the goal, not the journey. Prices are all over, have spent less for 100 year olds than too shiny 50+ stoves.

At that time, the production of 96 had decreased and the market switched over towards "butane pocket stoves" like Bleuet - resulting in that most classic halfpinters had to be sold in Britain.
Maybe - just maybe, the stock made in 1959 hold until beginning of 1961?:-k

I'll be happy to get my first 96, haha. Still on my radar.

I'll have to find that chart that shows production #'s, can't recall how many years it covered. Also, I think it was for all their models, not just 96's.
