Combinations of very interesting stove and lantern.
I like it allot !!
Really you are posting higly interesting stoves.
Can you post here a closer shot of the box of the stove/lantern. I would like to see more info about the producer, its addresses etc.
South Africa? It is also remarkable point.
Motoshi, are these still made?
You have some wonderful stoves and lanterns
Nothing is written in the box except the photograph.
The photograph was added a little more. Moreover, it is possible to play with the lantern as shown in the last photograph.
Yes, the tank and the frame are steel.
I believe these were last made in the early 70's when the maker Watcor were taken over by CADAC. They had also acquired Johannesburg Metal Pressings( JMP) makers of Apex stoves & paraffin stoves for Primus in the 1960's - it would appear that production for the African market was outside the Optimus agreement of 1962. I have a copy of a sensitive letter from 1967 to back that up. Cadac still have links with Primus today I believe - they are certainly big in the LPG stove & BBQ market. Stove production in Africa was a real can of worms!
I'm sorry it made a mistake in the translation.
Thank you Ross.
Thank you for a detailed explanation.
Certainly looks like 70s vintage styling. Interesting product. It would make sense to have several so you could use both configurations at the same time plus have lots of redundant spare parts.
