Disappointed that this stove didn't have a grate, then looking hours later, a different case, has to be a early one based on features, that seem to be improved on later models. No other case like it in the SRG. I was trying to compare the grate from my other 5, noticed no indentation for the sides of the grate to fit in on the case sides. Also, lid is detachable, at first thought it was broken or needed one side pinched together to stay on. Plus, the hasp on the front is minimal and does not hinge, welded on. Fiddled with the jet, runs nice and blue, but is hard to access the jet to flush the system. Did clean the spindle and added a little graphite packing to stop the slight smoke. Now a bigger issue, no reference as what a grate looks like. The grate for my black 5 does not fit the brown case. Will see if I can find something in the SRL. Not good at that.

Sorry, but three models also. :) I thought of flipping the one, but now I see I have two vintages. Can't do that. Will have to research and see what sort of grate this takes.

The no 5 came in a variety of colours.
I have wondered if they colour coded petrol/white gas differently...
Then there are the black ones...

    An overview would be nice...

    hello Duane,
As mentioned by many not so long ago, you're an excellent contributor to the site.

Re: SRL … the library and
your " Will see if I can find something in the SRL. Not good at that."
    Times they are a changing.

When you open library, see the new sub topic, on top is Trevor's
    Hyperlinked Documents of Swedish Manufacturers.

It is an amazing time-saving tool that could have helped you, it's purpose is to make quick work of finding exactly the type info you were looking for.

I trust you will at some point become familiar but for now I'll fast forward to the answers.

Trevor's spreadsheet is not perfect but is a very very very reliable reference.
His spread sheet shows you in under a minute that he agrees with your findings
Campus 5 is not found in any of the posted Svea catalogs.

We quickly see it is found only thrice in the reference section and all c1937.
    easy as 1 2 3 , here are those 3
    one: a label
    two: instructions
    three: an advertisement

    credit to Trevor @shagratork

Re your "...no reference as what a grate looks like."
Take into consideration the illustrations within links two & three
    BUT, big BUT,
consider the source, many illustrations are not accurate.
I leave you to your interpretations of those two.
    thx omc

Three shows the stove, but doesnt show how the grate sits in/on the case, just shows it there. Grate is like the 5's, different than my #2. Thank you.

    @hikerduane

I believe this Campus No 5 has the grate you are missing. Though I believe this case has the handle firmly fixed and the clasp fastened the regular way with a piece of sting in a grove on the back side.

The grate rests on the bottom of the case and shows relations to some Svea ranges.

    All the best, e

@tofta, yet a third version of the 5. Forgot about that one. Will have to see if I can find some flat stock for the grate. Thank you for posting.
