I'll post shots showing it working once I've had chance to check it over (although the collector I dealt with did show it in use).
However I wanted to share this one as soon possible. Please forgive the indoor photos, outside is currently covered in melting snow.

There are some lovely design points.
Clips hold the burner assembly in place during transport or storage.

A lever locks a pin on the base of the burner in place for use. I'm not sure if there should be two of these.

The wires that hold the side wind shields are spring loaded.

There is a clip to hold the wind shields in place when folded.

@Robert Radcliffe Reminiscent of a Primus 77 in some ways Robert, which you own also, so a comparison test would be fun.

I’m not referring to boil times, which aren’t particularly interesting, but functionality, comparative ‘quirks’ or your preferred features, that sort of thing.

One obvious benefit of the Enders is that each burner can operate independently, so no reliance of a ‘secondary’ burner (with a less powerful maximum output) on the ‘main’ burner. So it’s possible to have both on a simmer setting.

Yes I agree John, that would indeed make a very interesting comparison.

I will change the washers when new ones arrive but other than some new graphite packing required she's a runner. Great control from simmer to an impressive full burn.

A two burner I'd still like to have. Very nice. :)

I had some wonderful photos posted on my FB post on the Enders showing a VW Westfalia SO23 camper bus from 1961 and where the Enders 9065D stove was stored in its own custom built cupboard. Apparently the stove was standard equipment at this time but was replaced, at least in the US, with the Coleman 425 at a later date.

Aye, the VW connection has meant this has been a high priced stove for many years.

Check out this old thread from 13 years ago for more VW/Enders pics:

Thanks for the link Ross. I enjoyed reading that, especially being in on the answer to the puzzle.
