    I recently acquired a Dragonfly at a reasonable price, particularly since it turned out to be unused - although incomplete without a pump, fuel bottle or a kerosene jet.

    I bought the service kit for the missing jet, since I wanted to run the stove on paraffin for some of the time and bought a Duraseal pump, having had good service from the equivalent coupled with my XGK, Whisperlite and Firefly. The fuel bottle I already had.

    The service kit is impressively complete, chock full of all the bits needed for a thorough service of the stove and of a Duraseal or older type of pump and with service tools included - reamer to remove any carbon encrustations from the fuel feed pipe, the ubiquitous MSR spanner (wrench), a jet pricker (not needed if the shaker jet has done its job) and a safety pin for removing O-rings and the little white filter discs from the pump end of the flexi-hose.

    Good job there's a key to work out which O-ring is which.

    Two types of fuel pump are provided for.

    Here's that reamer tool and how to use it (illustration 4).

    DG (gasoline) and DK (kerosene) jets and a replacement 'shaker' pricker device.

    I'm pleased with the kit.

    Nice one John, I've got two dragonfly's, one working and one not, as it's an intermittent fault I suspect some dirt or swarf some where in the line. I need to strip it out blow the system through. Did you find any blockages when you stripped yours down?

    It's unused Si, so although I'll probably be stripping it down for a Ref Gallery feature (there's only one other Dragonfly in there when I last looked, I think) I'm not expecting to find any blockages.

    I just got my dragonfly, so I'm saving this for reference.

    @presscall , John,

    I must have missed this, when you first posted it. Thanks for the very comprehensive reports on the pumps, and maintenance kits!! VERY well done! I'd not heard of that reamer before, and it's an excellent addition to a maintenance kit! Thank you for your always excellent reports!! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc ("Marco......................................POLO"!)
