    Hi all.
    new here.
    I've just picked up a Tilley talisman at a charity shop. It needs a bottle and has a regulator showing 28Mbar. Cleaned up nice and hopefully I'll get a smallish bottle soon to try it out.
    Also got a Coleman petrol pump up one which I like as it's completely portable with no hoses.
    Strangely though it's the Swedish army trangia that I end up taking on hikes with a small bottle of meths.
    Or if I really don't want to carry fuel it has to be the Kelly kettle.
    I can't really decide which is more practical.
    Do I really need lightweight when I mostly go out for the day in the car, or do I need 2 rings and a grill. I haven't really got room for all of them but they all do different things and all have something in their favour. ( Like all of the 5 army parkas I've got)
    Thoughts much appreciated

    Welcome to CCS!

    Just like one spanner won't do all your jobs, generally one stove won't either. Nothing at all wrong with having multiple tools in the toolbox and pulling them out as needed.

    My father use to say 'get the tool first then find the use for it'.
    Stoves are no different. :lol::lol::lol:
