Bought this Bernzomatic ST805 at a garage sale, it doesn't have knobs for the flame control and came with a dry rotted hose. To solve the hose problem, I bought a Mr. Buddy propane regulator to replace the hose and then used 3/8 to 1/4 reducer to fit the stove. I tightened everything up and turned on the gas but nothing came out of the jets. Found a leak from the reduce to the stove itself. I took the hose connection off and it seems that the stove's male end isn't the same as the 1/4 female connection on the reducer. I didn't realize when I put it together because it went together fairly smoothly. Dumb mistake.

Is there a different style of thread close to 1/4in size out there? A friend of mine who knows a bit more about machining etc. said the threads could be British Whitworth. Is that common for a stove made in Denmark?
