Illinois/Wisconsin gathering?

    It has been a number of years since there was a, somewhat close to me, Midwest gathering.
    I believe that the last one was around La Crosse Wisconsin.
    Is anyone interested?

    same here! i'll be on a canoe trip in the first 2 weeks of june but otherwise i'm good.

    Canoe trip June? Sounds like black fly season, but I'll bet you have a super time nonetheless. What stove(s) will you take? And what route?

    down the Little Indian Sioux to La Croix and over to Lady Boot Bay and back by way of the Pocket-Finger- Beartrack-Steep lakes to Snow Bay and back to the LIS.i'll take a small Gaz stove for real cooking and my Borde for tea boil-ups. P6170132.jpg

    Looks like a great trip! I've only been in that area once, from Burntside into Crab, Cummings, and Big Moose. Most of my trips have been in the eastern BWCA. Granite River Route one of my favorites. Have a great time!

    I see most replies to this were from Minnesotans, perhaps a gathering next year near the twin cities might garner the most interest?

    I'd be interested as well. I suspect Greeley, AllanW and I all live within 10 miles of one another. Heck, we could carpool.
