Hi all I came across 2 of these while clearing out a house. 2nd one is similar but dont have any pictures. Could anyone help me with dating it or putting a value on it or even telling me it it's all there or bits missing? Its has OPTIMUS NO1.S on top, what looks like A-B OPTIMUS STOCKHOLM on the bottom and some form of Arabic? on the side Thanks in advance Andrew
@Andrew W A common Swedish stove, relatively late in production (1950’s) and with some work to do to tidy it up or indeed, to get it to function. Visual clues of neglect are overloads of solder at fuel and burner risers. Very probably due a seal and pump cup leather washer change. The burner (a ‘silent’ type) isn’t ‘right’ for the stove - from a collector’s perspective - and should be a ‘roarer’ burner. The burner is missing inner and outer caps. Value? Common, not all that old and in so-so condition. Might get 30 Euros on a good day from someone seeing it as a fixer-upper.
