Wow! Thanks everyone, quite unexpected - all these great entries are fabulous in their own ways! And yes @Robert Radcliffe , this was a close shave - your green enamel frame is absolutely stunning.

Congratulations! Apparently propane stoves aren't in favor as my entry received only one vote...mine. O.K., hope springs eternal and I'm going to scour my collection for my very best Swedish stove for the August contest. Wish me luck!

I was going to vote for it, Ben, until I considered the criterion of beauty!

Thanks Doc @Doc Mark for your kind words! And honestly your stove is at least as stunning!! A very rare piece in great condition.

Ben @z1ulike , your stove is absolutely quite interesting in it's category but personally I must confess that I perceive propane stoves (and also butane blend canister stoves) to be less "hot" than liquid fueled pressure stoves. Possibly I'm not the only one with this perception...? Knowing though that you have many great stoves in your collection (still some that are un-boxed?), I'm sure you'll make stunning entries in coming SotM challenges!!

Sorry Ben! You'd have gotten two votes but................I forgot to vote. Glad you weren't one point away from taking the lead. Propane doesn't have soul like kerosene, but frequently I don't want soul in my fuel, I want coffee. Right now.

    Congrats @Staffan Rönn, well won!

Hi @Staffan Rönn . Congratulations! It was the decorative feet that ensured your win.

Hi @Doc Mark So Close, and your kettle/stove combo got my vote.

    Well done all entrants.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

    @Staffan Rönn , @kerophile ,

    Staffan, and George,

Thanks you, Gentlemen, for your kind comments on my #9 Lux. I dearly love that stove, and though it did not win in this contest, it has most certainly won a place in my heart! And, Staffan's Optimus was a stunner, and most certainly deserves the win. Heck, I was even considering voting for it, myself!! But, I would have felt like a traitor to my #9, and so, supported it as best I could.

It's all in good, clean, fun, anyway, and as Ringo Starr once said, after having been asked what it was like to play with The Beatles, "I'm just happy to be here"!! :content: :D

    Your Ol' Buddy,
    Doc

This one for me was a fairly easy choice for once. Although they are all nice stoves it was the layout of Stefans that decided it for me. The metal Optimus plate the stove is on, the box of stick matches And of course the tin just made a complete pic. There was also something about the stove that I kept going back to look at it.

For me too. Reminds me of my Solus.

(Stove feet fetishists? Who would have thought?)

Congratulations to all. It was quite a line up this month.

Hi, I should have said the Phoebus also used decorative feet for some of their stoves:
