Hi all Can anyone help in dating this stove ? and whether the burner head is correct, I think it may not be. The registered number on the flame ring looks like 662571, presumably it could be dated from this. Note the small holes in the burner head in picture 5. Regards Ian
Hi Ian, I would think that your stove dates from the 1920/30s. Is there the crossed swords/GB logo which is found on most Barthel stoves? Best Regards, Kerophile.
Hi Ian, Wow - that burner is in some state. Luckily it seems to be pitted through outside of the channels where the kero/vapour flows. However, you've got to assume that those are probably in similar condition so I wouldn't be using it on a regular basis! Nice stove though, and great to see it working (once ). Cheers, Graham.
Hi Kerophile Yes, and picture included. The Juwel 41 is a collapsable stove. Graham, I had a Primus No 4 burner head rupture a few weeks ago,and go into a nice big ball of flame. As a rule now, I always clean the burner heads first, to see if there are any visible problems, and then all stoves only get used ONCE. Regards Ian
hello Iani I don't know if its the camera angle on the 4th picture, but the stove seems bottom heavy, the burner seems very slender against the tank, giving it an out of balance look
