This was the question asked about one of the Erikssons 'Ralpha No.8's in the gallery, and the answer was no there wasn't. But someone must have raised the same question back in the 1920s or '30s and Erikssons answer was the Kampa No.8. Absolutely identical to the Ralpha No.8 except in one respect, and one only: gone was the distinctive and retro-looking 'Mickey Mouse ears' filler cap, and in its place there was now a heavy brute of a filler cap housing a parking place for the reserve cap:content:

That’s a good looking stove and burning very well in that last photo.

The travel cap reminded me of the one I found on my late model Optimus 100 (Optimus No. 100 (late model)):

@Tony Press, yes, same ploy of putting a hacksaw through at 90° to create an easier to use screwdriver slot! (otherwise the Optimus cap seems more dainty overall, probably just being more economical on the use of brass;))

Particularly impressed by this little stove after having had it on the duty rosta for several consecutive days. The odd, less than stunning, looks are deceptive. Has proven itself to be neat, stable, self-igniting from priming, and has a real crackle to the roar very much like an Optimus 00 in optimum condition.
